I made my first attempt at an eBay business in 1997. It failed miserably. As did several other would-be million dollar eBay businesses I tried. I didn’t get it, I read the books promising success if I followed their eBay business success rules. |

End my auctions on Sunday night, check. Find some random Powerseller to emulate and copy his auctions, check. Get ready to work for my eBay business in every waking hour, after my day job, check. After several tries following the advise from the top ‘how to make real money on eBay’ books, I realized they were crap and I quit trying to make a business on ebay work. I was almost relieved to go back to just 8-10 hours of my day job. After several more years in the 9-5 grind I couldn’t take it any more. About that time a book came along that changed it all, Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I decided the era of the day job was over and if I was going to try the business thing again I was going to ‘fail forward’ and not give up. I spent over a year trying to be a ‘Donald Trump’ in the real estate business, but I didn’t like that business much. Finally, I got into the info marketing/internet business fold. It clicked and I have doing it full time ever since. The first thing I tried was an information business using eBay. I took Dan Kennedy’s advice which was, look at what everyone else is doing and do the opposite. By following his advice I made a few people mad as well as making a successful business. I then went on to several other businesses using a similar model. I now have many different internet based businesses after finding multiple ‘renegade’ principles and ways to automate my business therefore taking ME out of the equation, (as much as possible). To this day I make the majority of my income from eBay businesses, how many of the other ‘experts’ can say that? I also found that most of the guys that write the eBay books have never had an eBay business. They are simply professional writers hired to write a book. You really have to be careful who you get your information from! End my auctions on Sunday night, not necessarily. Find some random Powerseller to emulate and copy his auctions, NO WAY! Get ready to work for my eBay business in every waking hour, only if you’re crazy! I love internet business and using eBay as a tool to generate business. Most of all I am finding that I love teaching others how to become Renegade eBay Sellers. |

When I first started selling on eBay I decided to read every book about the subject that I could laymy hands on. Unfortunately, that experience turned out to be a waste of time because the bookstaught the ‘traditional’ way of selling on eBay by using it as an online garage sale. That’s fine forthose who are getting started and want to learn the ropes, but it’s not sustainable. My analytical nature led me to study everything I could about how eBay works, and after many months of painstaking research |

I finally ‘cracked the eBay code’. That may sound overly dramatic, but I assure you that I’m not exaggerating. Quite simply, I devised a systemized approach to exploiting unconventional eBay techniques that fewer than 1% of sellers know about, let alone use. I’m actually one of a very small handful of education specialists, trained by eBay. Honestly, I don’t agree with everything that eBay teaches, but being certified means that I am perfectly placed to inform my students of the very latest developments and features of eBay, sometimes months before they become ‘mainstream.’ It’s a very powerful advantage that you can benefit from too. I’m a fairly private person but I’m happy to let you in on a few personal details. I was born and raised in the South of England, I married my lovely wife Luci in 2000, and we fulfilled an ambition in 2003 by moving half way around the world to California. In the Summer of 2006 we moved to Salt Lake City, where we overlook the mountains near Park City. It’s a beautiful part of the country that seems to be largely undiscovered. I encourage you to visit, you will love it. I owe a debt of thanks to my marketing friends Yanik Silver, Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer, and Zig Ziglar and others, for showing me what marketing is really about. The insights and lessons that I discovered as a student of these guys has been invaluable, and they have been a major influence on my eBay system. Conventional marketing is dead, it’s a pointless waste of time and money, but sadly most people are stuck in the dark ages and are still doing it the hard way. It’s a constant frustration to me to see so many eBay sellers fail. Even many PowerSellers give up because they are fed up. Simply having the label ‘PowerSeller’ doesn’t mean anything significant, it simply means that the person received payments of more than $1000 per month through eBay transactions. How much of that is profit is anyone’s guess. I invite you to check out our eBay resources on this site. Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to meeting you in person at one of our live presentations or trainings. |

Listened to the audio file you guys did. I’m curious to know what your ebay ids are.
Thanks
Where is the podcast XML feed, dude?!
We have decided not to give out our ebay ids for several reasons. We want to be free to really give the tips and tricks we use on ebay everyday without fear that someone is going to use them against us in our current niches. We also don’t want people to simply copy our listings. We want people to learn the principles and apply and test them for themselves.
Here is the podcast feed:

Hey guys - great podcast! I’m an accountant who specializes in eBay & e-commerce accounting - I’d love to be on your podcast to help answer those burning accounting and Quickbooks questions for your listeners.
When are you going to make a new one! I like your podcasts!
Sorry for the delay, but there are 2 reasons why we haven’t posted for a while:
1. We are about to finish a bonus e-book/bonus podcast that is mentioned in episode 3, (which is finished and ready to post). We want to have the e-book finished before we move on with the show.
2. Andrew and I have been Seminar Hopping… We went to Yanik Silvers Underground Seminar several weeks ago, where Andrew was a Speaker and we just left Chicago where we were at Dan Kennedy’s Super Conference, yes, Andrew spoke at that seminar too! He talked at the seminars about an eBay Course he has created. More on that soon!
We have been extra busy, but starting next week things are going to slow back down to the ‘too much to do’ level and we should be able to get back on track. The goal is to do about 2 or so a month, plus blog posts.
Sorry for the wait!
Jeremy

I have a question for Andrew!
Andrew you are from UK and now live in USA. All your life is around the USA market, however not close for international markets as well.
Have you considered the possibility to part of your business be directed to the European market? If you did have consider, what is your plan on doing it?
I am a small entrepreneur in Finland that have started my business last year. I am a gold member of GKIC, however I am just beginning to practice what I am still learning. From you I have bought yesterday your book and subscribe to your free 3 months trial silver membership.
The point in this message is to open the eyes of an European that Europe have many cultures and languages but the same needs any other country ans one good way to expore this market is to considering their culture as a whole.
For an American it might be too difficult, but I do not believe that for you as you have lived most of your life in Europe.
Back to the question again:
Have you considered the possibility to part of your business be directed to the European market? If you did have consider, what is your plan on doing it?
You are welcome to contact me to my e-mail.
thanks
Renata
Hi Renata,
Sorry for the delay in responding - been doing a lot of travelling!
I currently sell internationally, with a large percentage of orders to the UK. I have a family member that stocks products and sends them out each day as orders come in, so that works really well. There are a number of companies that offer fulfillment services in foreign countries too, so you might want to Google those.
Selling internationally is an often overlooked opportunity. I believe that the cultural differences are not as pronounced as most people believe. Most people have the same basic wants and desires in the developed world, so my products sell well in all English speaking countries.
I encourage you to offer your products internationally too. It’s very simple these days, even if you have to ship items from Finland to other countries.
Hi, I’ve been listening to your podcast and I really like it. So I want to start my own ebay business. Could you give me some info or tips on how to start. Do I have to buy items at whole sale and then sell them? I dont have much money to invest in a large wholesale lot of anything. How do I get started and what are the possibilities with liitle money? Thanks for your input.
