What is the url for the shipping service you mentioned? NDSIA? end-dee-see-ah?
I have listened to both of your podcast and I agree with you on all points. I currently have two accounts that I sell with on eBay and one is a power seller however, after listening to your podcast I have since removed my power seller icon. I am in the process of making two ebooks that I plan to deliver via CD and electronic delivery however; my question to you is how do I go about licensing other information products.
Ace,
Here is the link to the shipping service:

Hey Jay,
I got my license at a seminar, but one of the ways to do it is through clickbank. You can find a product you really like there and just email the owner. I did that with a physical product that had 2 manuals and some CDs, I just emailed them and asked how much it would cost to own a license.
A license is different then an affiliate program as usually a license will give you the rights to have the product printed yourself and you keep ALL the profits (usually) rather then, lets say, 50% of the profits as an affiliate.
Thanks,
Jeremy
Hi Andrew and Jeremy!
Thanks for offering these very helpful podcasts!
Will you make a book recommendation that you found particularly helpful in creating and marketing information products? Thanks!
Suzanne
Hey I really appreciate both this podcast and the Internet Business mastery one. I just listened to another EBay podcast from some woman and boy was it crap. Nothing but pure infomercial and nothing useful. So cheers to your continued success. Now my question… how can I set up my EBay product so that it relists another DVD after the auction closes? So that I don’t have to do anything, or should I get an ebay store or something… so far I sell only one inexpensive product.
A & J
Very informative podcast. I like the straight forward way you present information. I do have some questions.
1. Do you ever use order fulfillment companies and if you do what are some things to look out for?
2. Do you sell through Ebay exclusively? If you have your own website, do your Ebay auctions cut into your website sales?
3. At what price point do you start your auctions ?
Suzanne,
I’m glad we could be of assistance!
I am going to be putting up a resources page very soon, so keep an eye out for that. I have to go through all the programs I have used, as well as what Andrew has used, before I can make final recommendations. We want to make sure we give you the best info!
Jeremy
Both Andrew and I use eBays Sellers Manager Pro. I used to use Vendio but I found that they had a few limitations and finally went with eBays own product. I have been using it for about 7 months now and have nothing but praise for it.
For just ONE listing a week I would look at Auctiva.com. I use them for my Product Showcase at the bottom of my auctions since it’s free!
Kevin,
I use both eBay and a website to sell from. We will talk later about using eBay as more of a lead generation tool that you use, then taking them off eBay to continue buying from you on your website. Stay tuned for that one!
Price points are a hard thing to generalize. The answer would depend on a LOT of things. Testing different prices as well as fixed price vs. auctions is what I did to make sure I was on track with my prices. I still run price tests from time to time, just to make sure I am not leaving money on the table!
Andrew and Jeremy,
Thanks for all the tips! I really appreciate the fact that you guys are very honest about the pros and cons of Ebay. Every Ebay book I have read thus far is a rehash of the same garbage. I really love your approach and encourage you to keep up the good work.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the podcast, I got a huge amount out of it.
You mentioned membership websites and I am just about to launch one (on Photoshop) but I was wondering how I would offer something like that on ebay? Do you just sell a membership at a lower cost than from your website?
thanks
Jennifer
Hey Everyone,
Please let us know if there are specific topics you’d like us to discuss in future episodes, we’d love to hear your suggestions.
In other news, my new book, ‘eBay Exposed’ was released this week, so I encourage you to check that out too, as the information in there about how to REALLY profit from eBay is worth many hundreds of times the cover price. It even comes with a guarantee, that’s how confident I am in the quality of the book! Check out www.ebayexposed.com
@ Jennifer,
I don’t think you need to have a lower cost, you would simply use eBay as a lead generation tool. You could do a classified ad with a sales letter and links to your membership site.
J & A,
I don’t know if it’s just my computer/iPod but your Podcast show #2 on iTunes plays Podcast #1. Maybe you can resend it to iTunes? I had to listen to Podcast 2 from your website, which is fine but thought you should check it out. Rich
@ Rich,
Thanks so much for letting me know. I was able to quickly fix that and now all is well!
